DESCRIPTION
Under the guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager and the Senior Finance Associate, the Finance Assistant implements administrative and operational strategies, by providing financial services, such as:
a) Payments data entry
b) Proper control of the supporting documents for payments and financial reports
c) Review of petty cash and cash advances reports
d) Monthly conciliation of financial data on the office system
To ensure the high quality, accuracy and consistency of service delivery, the Finance Assistant works on an ERP web-based environment and in close collaboration with its internal clients, projects and Headquarters’ staff to exchange information.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Nicaraguan Citizen
• University Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Business Administration.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
• Full proficiency in usage of computers, ERP systems and Office software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Fluency in spanish and english: speaking, reading and writing is required.

CONTRACTUAL STATUS AND ENTITLEMENTS
The successful candidate will be locally recruited for a period of 1 year under a Fixed Term modality, at the GS-5 level. Contract extension will be subject to performance. The employee will be entitled to: medical and life insurance, and will participate of the UN Pension Fund.
